Burton Group AJAX Survey Results Posted

I had a post last week about the Burton Group survey and this week we have the results. Some interesting things I see.

97.4% of respondents are using AJAX at some level (Protoype to Production)

10.7% of respondents are using AJAX along with ColdFusion

The top 6 libraries are

Prototype - 34.1%
jQuery - 29.3%
Ext JS - JavaScript Library - 22.5%
Script.aculo.us - 22.3%
Mootools - 14%
Yahoo! User Interface Library - 13%

ColdFusion 8 ships with 2 of them! :)

And actully, if you drill in to the "Other (please specify)" you will see a lot of write-ins saying they are using the CF8 Built-in AJAX features. I also suspect that many CF users chose EXT JS and YUI at the top-level.

Always just looking to have the information spoon fed... Couldn't you just guess where the results were? :)

My bad... always doing 10 things at once. ;)

No Worries...I do it all the time...like forgetting the attachment(s) on emails. I had to force myself into the habit of attaching the files FIRST.

Interesting to note that overall Adobe Spry only had about 3% usage. But for the CF developers only, almost 25% were using Spry.

See...I AM willing to dig a little for my own info <grin>
